The Huron County Health Partners (HCHP) are excited to announce the release of the 2020 Community Health Assessment (CHA) – the culmination of a collection of information on the health and wellness of Huron County that has been compiled over the past year. This county-wide health assessment survey showcases a snapshot of the health of Huron County residents which will be used to inform the priorities and actions of local governmental agencies, human and social service agencies, businesses, healthcare providers, and other health-centric organizations over the next three years. The full 2020 Huron County CHA is available for the public to view on Huron County Public Health’s website at www.huroncohealth.com/huron-county-health-partners or by clicking here.

Unfortunately, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, in lieu of a formal release event, the Huron County Health Partners will be holding Zoom sessions for community partners and community members to review and discuss the key findings of this report and to allow individuals to provide feedback on topics discussed. Details surrounding these sessions will be announced at a later date. We hope that the advance release of the assessment will allow individuals time to review the CHA prior to these sessions being held.

The Huron County Health Partners’ Steering Committee would like to extend a thank you to all residents that participated in the surveying process and all community partners that added to the qualitative data collected and included in the report.

A special thank you to all agencies who made this possible by contributing funding to this assessment, including: Firelands Counseling & Recovery Services, Huron County Board of Mental Health and Addiction Services (MHAS), Huron County Public Health, Fisher-Titus Medical Center, Mercy Health – Willard Hospital, and NAMI Huron County.
